  • Hampshire County Council’s Children’s Services are undergoing unprecedented growth and are recruiting Newly Qualified Social Workers to join our Graduate Entry
  • Training Scheme (GETS.) Our pioneering Scheme is an entirely new way of supporting our social workers through their Assessed and Supported Year in Employment and will ensure that you build the very best foundations in skills and confidence to equip you for the challenges of front line social work.  
  • You will join a cohort of other Newly Qualified Social Workers and as a group you will undertake an intensive four week induction period of high quality training and support.
  • Following this you will join one of our district based teams for a five month secondment, allowing you time to develop your skills portfolio.
  • You will also have further development days and shadowing opportunities during this time where you continue to learn together and support each other as a cohort of Graduate Trainees.  
  • For the final six months you will be appointed into your substantive post to complete your Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE.) On successful completion of your ASYE, you will be offered ongoing support for a further year which will enable you to consolidate your learning as you become a more experienced social worker.
