We are looking for individuals with a passion for technology and problem solving, ideally with solid academic foundations in engineering disciplines.   • Capturing and analysing of client requirements
  • Working as part of a quality-oriented software development team
  • Engaging & collaborating with internal & business teams
  • Designing, coding, unit testing, reviewing and bug fixing of commercial grade software including:
    • Mobile and Desktop Applications
    • User-facing web portlets for delivery into Cisco’s enterprise platforms
    • Web services
  • Analysing IT case data, user feedback, mailers & discussion forums to identify opportunities for service improvement
  • Continuous professional development. Maintaining and expanding your knowledge and skills with current and emerging technologies as they become applicable.

About You

  • Active in-depth knowledge of at least 1 popular object-oriented programming language (Python, C++, Java, Javascript, Go)
  • Theoretical and hands-on experience with operating systems (linux), databases (SQL, NoSQL) and distributed systems (e.g. project work)
  • Proven exposure to datastructures, algorithms and object-oriented software design and architecture (e.g. completed courses)
  • Exposure to machine learning, data mining and its mathematical foundations (e.g. linear algebra) a big plus
  • Open-source or active personal project work a big plus (please include a link in your application)
  • Legally eligible to live and work in the UK (student visa does not apply)
