- We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to empower young carers to meet their potential and have the same access to education as their peers.
- Working in a whole family way to ensure young carers are not undertaking inappropriate caring roles the successful candidate will undertake assessments of need and appropriate referrals to reduce caring roles as well as providing effective interventions and positive activities directly to young carers.
- This role requires you to work directly with vulnerable young people and families, leading on under 11’s engagement and support, so a good knowledge of safeguarding and risk assessment when working in difficult and complex situations is essential.
- You will provide young carers with information, signposting and support, through 1:1 interventions and group work, so an awareness of the major issues that affect young people’s lives, particularly under 11’s, is also essential.
