Actuarial Industry Placements
Our Actuarial placement runs over 12 months and will help you to develop your skills, gain insightful practical experience and make more informed decisions about your future career.
The placement will involve a mix of project work and operational tasks and past interns have been involved in areas such as modelling motor pricing policies based on a number of variables to conducting statistical reviews of claims made by our customers.
- Valid work permit for permanent work in the UK without restrictions after graduation.
- Please be aware that we will require satisfactory pre-employment evidence to include DBS, financial probity and fraud checks, before you can commence employment with us.
- On course for a 2:1 or above in a numerate or business related degree
- A-level maths at grade A or above (or equivalent)
Please note, if you are a holder of a Tier 4 visa you will have certain conditions and working restrictions attached to your visa. Generally, students studying towards a degree level qualification (NQF6) or above are restricted to a maximum of 20 hours work per week during term time, which is reduced to 10 hours per week for students studying below degree level. Please check your visa for more details. It is a criminal offence to breach the conditions of your visa, and anyone found doing so by UK Visas and Immigration is likely to have their permission to stay in the UK cancelled.
