Data Analyst (KTP Associate)
An exciting opportunity has become available for a high-calibre graduate to work with the university, in partnership with Bob’s Business, in Barnsley, as part of a Knowledge Transfer Partnership. The objective of the role is to obtain a psychological understanding of why some end users engage with phishing emails. You will help develop, test and implement an evidence-based intervention to help raise awareness and reduce the risk of cyber security attacks.
You will work with experts from the University of Huddersfield’s Department of Psychology, in partnership with Bob’s Business, through the acclaimed KTP scheme to project manage a 24-month programme of research, design, testing and implementation of an appropriate platform or intervention to help Bob’s Business’ clients become more cyber aware and secure.
You will be employed by the University of Huddersfield but will be based at Bob’s Business, in Barnsley, working directly with senior company staff, as well as receiving additional mentoring support from expert university staff.
Fixed-term appointment for two years.
The successful candidate will have experience managing and analysing data, ideally within a behavioural application and should therefore possess strong statistical and analytical skills. Excellent communication skills will be fundamental.
Applicants should hold a degree (2:1 or above) in computer science, psychology, or a discipline related to psychology.
