Lorient Polyproducts Limited is an international and market leading company specialising in the design and manufacture of acoustic, smoke and fire containment products.

We are seeking a Marketing Co-ordinator to control and progress a variety of marketing projects and activities.  The successful person will report to the Marketing Manager and support a small, but busy, marketing team which works closely together to promote the company’s comprehensive range of products.  You will liaise with colleagues throughout the Lorient Group, as well as external marketing suppliers, to achieve departmental objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Exhibition and Events Management

  • Stand booking, planning & manning
  • Organising invitations to key contacts
  • Print work, samples and promotional giveaways
  • Follow up work after the event

Brochure Production

  • Fulfilling brochure requests
  • Dealing with brochure amendments
  • Liaising with design agency and printers
  • Proof reading draft and final copy

Datasheet Production

  • Producing artwork for simple datasheets/ promotional flyers
  • Using Adobe Creative Suite
  • Maintaining up to date profile of competitors
  • Scanning relevant websites and trade press sources for competitor information
  • Media scanning of relevant trade journals
  • Monitoring external sales team visit reports
  • Updating the CRM as necessary
  • Analysing competitor information
  • Monitoring quality and stock levels of product samples
  • Internal marketing projects e.g. internal comms and company events
  • Providing information and statistics for the quarterly Marketing report
  • Co-ordinating ad hoc customer satisfaction / brand awareness surveys
  • Overseeing Marketing support for our preferred distributors
  • Contributing to the website project
  • Providing Reception cover on an ad-hoc basis to cover staff absence
  • Taking incoming customer queries when necessary and updating the CRM
  • Hours: 9.00am - 5.30 pm Mon-Fri (37.5 hours per week)

About You

  • A degree in Marketing (or other relevant Business degree) is essential
  • CIM qualified or part-qualified would be preferred
  • Passionate about marketing
  • Good practical knowledge of Photoshop and InDesign software is essential
  • Good understanding and/or practical knowledge of Marketing, direct mail, printwork, organising exhibitions and events
  • Practical and proficient IT skills (MS Office)
  • High level of accuracy
  • Excellent grammar
  • Attention to detail
  • Well organised
  • Capable of working to tight deadlines
  • Team player
  • Excellent communication skills
