Youth Inclusion Mentor
The Youth Inclusion Mentor (known internally as the "Personal Coach") plays an essential role in helping us to ensure that the NCS programme is as inclusive and accessible to all young people as possible.
- You will support and motivate a young person with a wide range of support needs, which may include a history of challenging behaviour, involvement with the youth justice systems and/or being looked after.
- They may already be receiving support from CAMHS or their SENDCO, and may have been referred to the NCS programme by their local authority.
- This role is suitable for a confident, compassionate and experienced motivator, with the ability to quickly build trust and rapport with hard-to-reach young people.
- The young person you support will need intensive 1:1 support, and you'll be required to work long hours and take part in a night-shift rota during the residential phases of the programme.
