Our client is a well-respected Financial Services PLC that is in an exciting period of growth and expansion. As a result, they are creating a new accounting division that will be responsible for the processing and administering the Group's corporate payments and client related payments.

Responsibilities

  • Working as part of a team to ensure payments are processed accurately and on time.
  • Reporting to the Payments Team Leader you will be assisting with processing daily transactions and daily reconciliation of the bank accounts and the cash management system.
  • Payment processing
  • Ensure payments are processed accurately, on time, and in accordance with the delegation of authority limits - with the appropriate documentation records for audit purposes
  • Making sure payments, both inbound and outbound are processed accurately and on time
  • Conduct Quality Assurance checks, reconciliations and process compliance for payments based on company policies
  • Reporting and reconciliations
  • Administer daily reconciliation of Cashfac (Cash Management Software)
  • Assist in reporting from Cashfac
  • Investigation of anomalies and continuous improvement of process for omissions and errors as they arise from the automated reconciliation process
  • Maintain documentation, approvals , requests and instructions and review audit trails
  • Completing, reviewing and monitoring breach reports
  • Direct debits
  • Administering Direct Debit collections from clients
  • Systems and controls
  • Responsible for adhering to internal policies and the procedure manual for Cashfac
  • Maintaining and updating the training material for the team to improve processing
  • Ensuring all payments processes and policies are recorded and up to date
  • Continual process improvement, working with internal resource to optimise payment processing
  • Risk and compliance
  • Updating the risk framework following management reviews
  • Adhering to policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all regulatory bodies
  • Will undertake other work from time to time that is within your skills and experience

About You

  • Competent in delivering payment services with experience in the Financial Services
  • Exposure to and understanding of CASS and FCA regulations highly desirable
  • Organisational skills with a high degree of accuracy
  • Excel skills
  • Communication skills with previous experience of working closely with teams
  • Positive attitude to continual learning
  • Intermediate Excel skills are required in including the use of Macro's
  • Experience in processing high volume of transactions in a timely manner
