Research Assistant

Looking for a multi-media student with an interest within a sport setting to support a ground breaking research project, which will be exploring the impact of action sounding cues on the acquisition and performance of complex sporting movements. The principle duties of the opportunity will involve filming in a sports setting environment, and then supporting editing of the footage. The key objectives of the role will include: 1. Provide support in data collection - gain video footage of coaches whilst the primary investigator records information using a notational observation tool. 2. Provide assistance to the primary investigator at point of data analysis - clipping footage for research use and feedback to coaches. 3. Act as a second observer - providing inter and intra agreement. Essential skills and experience required for this post include: - Media Technology - visual & audio - Video Editing Software The successful candidate will be paid £8.40 per hour to work up to 45 hours for the duration of the project.
