Denise Brown is a Fashion stylist, speaker, consultant and tutor among many other things. Based in the UK, stylist Denise’s passion isn’t only to create unique looks but a desire to inspire and ultimately leave a lasting impression.
With her distinctive style and vivacious personality Denise has an extensive list of previous clients, dressing some of the biggest names in pop culture including Kanye West, Rihanna, Eliza Doolittle and the Noisettes and working alongside renowned fashion stylists such as Franklin Akinsete and Cynthia Lawrence-John, Denise
As a womenswear graduate from the world-renowned London College of Fashion, Denise acquired a strong adoration for fashion from the age of 11 when she first picked up a needle and thread and hand sew her own outfit. Years later Denise’s international clientele include MTV, GMTV, Nickelodeon and Polaroid. Additionally, she has styled campaigns for Bench, New Era, Wale Adeyemi and many more.
Throughout her career, Denise has worked with a diverse range of photographers including Andres Reynaga, Arron Dunworth, Daniel Thomas, Uzo Oleh and Curtis Benjamin to produce striking high-fashion shoots and urban, street style looks.
Denise has featured fashion editorial shoots for magazines and newspapers such as Time Out, NME, Volt Cafe, Fault, Fazhiblack, Fantasics, And Men, Noise and the Metro. Denise’s powerful sense of creativity and her unceasing ambition also caught the attention of music magazine Flavour, where she reigned as the Fashion Editor for three years.
As a newly acclaimed guest speaker, Denise also runs her own “Introduction to Styling’ events where advises individuals on making it as a stylist. Speaking at institutions and events within the past year including Solent University, BAME event, Inspirational U, Swap in the City, LCF Careers services Denise is swiftly becoming well known as a speaker. And it doesn’t stop there either as just last summer, Denise was featured on TV show “Whats Up UK” broadcasted on SKY where she styled the TV presenters prior to being interviewed by them.
In 2007 Denise launched her own fashion label ‘Don’t Judge Me’, a collection inspired by her past struggles, accomplishments and life lessons. The collection won the hearts of many celebrities including Mariah Carey and Tulisa from N-Dubz, who both wore items from her collection. Capturing the interests of the media, the collection allowed Denise to showcase her original style and remarkable ideas on an international scale.
With a significant amount of knowledge within the fashion industry and over eight years applying her knowledge through teaching, Denise has set up an academy called ‘Fashion Changed My Life’. With the FCML Academy, Denise runs local workshops including fashion design and styling with the aim to inspire and encourage young individuals and explore their creativity. Furthermore, Denise has showcased her desire to give back to her community and ensure she can help a diverse group of people. Her previous clients have included The Prince’s Trust, Ealing Council, Brent, Lambeth, Hackney college, Solent University and other schools within London.
With a fierce knowledge in the fashion industry and an impressive record of clientele along with her indisputable passion for fashion, Denise isn’t stopping anytime soon.
