What comes to your mind when you see the job title "Support Worker"? Would you imagine you'd be playing an active, involved part in the lives of young people, doing things you probably enjoy anyway? 

If you join our team at Fernhill Court in New Milton, you'll have every opportunity to use your gifts and interests while working with young adults who have a learning disability or autism.

We've just opened a brand new purpose-built service in New Milton, where we will eventually be supporting 18 young people with a learning disability or autism. The service consists of 18 beautiful flats plus some common areas, set in fantastic gardens, providing people with the perfect mixture of privacy, independence and the opportunity to socialise.


  • Our Support Workers don't just passively care for people, we get really involved in the everyday activities and interests that will help build up useful skills and engage people in their local communities
  • You might go out with a young person on a hike or bike ride around the New Forest
  • Work with individuals to prepare a delicious new recipe
  • Do some gardening, or encourage them to learn a musical instrument
  • Whatever your interests are, you can make good use of them

About You

  • You don't need experience for this job
  • We provide a fantastic induction and loads of completely free training
  • Including the opportunity to gain a nationally recognised qualification
  • Drivers are preferred, but not essential and you will need to take into account that you'll be working shifts on a rota, which includes days, evenings, nights and weekends.
  • We have full-time, part-time, night shift and Relief opportunities
  • With Relief hours, you would fill in for staff holidays, working regular or occasional hours to suit you
  • We find these hours often fit around students holiday and study hours
  • We would also love to talk to you if you might be interested in volunteering with us
