Actor/Singer/Dancer - Performer for an Amateur Group - next production Utopia Limited by Gilbert and Sullivan - to be performed at Theatre Royal Winchester, May 2018 and at the International G&S Festival in Harrogate, August 2018.

Winchester Musicals and Opera Society is a multi-award winning amateur theatrical group, producing musicals and opera twice yearly.  We perform at The Theatre Royal in Winchester for one week in May and November.  We have recently put on: Irving Berlin's White Christmas, Sweeney Todd, Calamity Jane, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Carmen... We have been going since 1913 so the list is very extensive!  Our future productions include: Utopia Limited (which we are taking on tour to the International G&S Festival in Harrogate August 2018) and Singing' in the Rain with show plans extending into 2019 and beyond.

We have an annual fee for membership of the Society at £40 which is reduced to £20 for NUS or JSA and an additional production fee of £60 which is reduced to £30 for NUS or JSA.  We rehears on average twice a week in the centre of Winchester, generally on a Monday and Wednesday evenings.  The fees cover all rehearsal time, insurance, theatre costs as well as costumes and performance royalties.

Performing with us gives a fantastic opportunity for students to add to their CV, by being able to audition for leading roles, perform in a professional well-respected theatre and have a first-hand experience of what it is like being involved in many aspects of a small theatrical company.

Info Evening 15/1/2018, Auditions 21/1/2018 - both at United Reform Church, Jury Street, Winchester
