Graduate Intern - Solent Games Coordinator

With a passion for video games, you will assist with the research and planning of new Computer Games initiatives and projects.

Finding that first big career break isn’t easy, especially if you haven’t had work experience.

Southampton Solent University has 30 micro-internships available to 2017 graduates who may be unemployed or who haven’t had relevant work experience related to their studies.

You will work with the Computer Games team, focused on growing our courses and the innovative ways we approach teaching complex yet fascinating subjects. We are a group of programmers, artists and designers who love our field and passing our experience on to students.

Full details about this role can be found on the attached Job Profile below. Please ensure you read this fully before making your application.

This role is for 4 weeks starting on 8 January 2018 and finishing 2 February 2018. The salary is £1249.04 gross.

Interviews will take place during w/c 13 November 2017.

Why should I apply for an internship?

Take a look at what a previous Solent graduate intern thought about his internship.

In January 2017 Kundai Musara, a BA (Hons) Writing, Fashion and Culture graduate, was successful in gaining an internship as a marketing and PR executive at Hampshire County Council.

“This has put what I learnt on my course into use and I’ve gained more experience from it as well. Gaining that experience will make me more sellable to employers. It’s been definitely worth it.”

I’m interested, can and how do I apply?

This opportunity is only available for 2017 Solent graduates who have not previously been involved in any other SSU Graduate Programme.
